These terms explain how we arrange your experience, what your booking includes and what happens if your plans change. They apply together with the personalised booking details we provide before payment. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your Booking
Grand Diamonds LLC is your contracting company for the complete experience. We arrange its delivery through independent providers, including aircraft operators, hotels and jewellery specialists.
Before your initial payment, we agree your proposed travel dates, departure arrangements, accommodation requirements, diamond selection criteria, ring preferences and other included services. We provide your personalised booking details, payment schedule, these terms and any applicable supplier conditions for your review and acceptance.
We confirm our acceptance of your booking in writing before requesting the initial US$10,000 payment. Diamond sourcing begins once that payment has cleared. We purchase the approved diamond, commission your rings and make travel reservations only after the remaining balance has cleared. Acceptance of your booking does not itself mean that supplier reservations have been secured.
We agree a suitable arrival date allowing time for diamond selection, your approval, balance clearance, ring production and any included design alterations. An alternative diamond recommendation or requested alteration may require additional time, which we discuss and agree with you. Travel and accommodation remain subject to availability until confirmed.
Our experience is currently offered to customers residing outside the United Kingdom. Acceptance of a booking also depends on our ability to lawfully provide it in the relevant market.
Price and Payment
The advertised experience costs US$2.5 million for two people, for seven days and six nights, unless a different arrangement is expressly agreed before payment.
The agreed price includes mandatory taxes and charges for the included services, together with applicable UK ETA or visa application fees. Any additional services and their prices must be agreed before we incur those charges on your behalf.
Payment is made in two stages by bank transfer using the details on our invoice. The initial US$10,000 is credited in full towards the US$2.5 million experience. After you approve the recommended diamond, the remaining US$2,490,000 must reach our account as cleared funds within 48 hours. We confirm the exact payment deadline in writing; initiating a transfer does not count as cleared payment.
If the balance does not clear by that deadline, we contact you to discuss the next steps. We cannot guarantee that the diamond will remain available beyond its reservation period. Any extension or replacement diamond requires agreement with you. If the booking ends at this stage without the balance having cleared, the initial-payment cancellation provisions below apply, subject to your applicable legal rights.
Please contact us using our established contact details to verify any request to change the receiving bank account.
We may request proportionate identity or source-of-funds information where reasonably necessary for payment verification, fraud prevention or legal compliance. We cannot proceed with arrangements where doing so would be unlawful.
What Your Experience Includes
Your personalised booking details confirm the arrangements for your stay. The standard experience includes:
Return private jet flights on the agreed route.
Six nights in a five-star hotel suite for two, including agreed hotel spa and gym access.
Meals and drinks throughout your London stay, at your hotel and when dining elsewhere, including breakfast, room service and minibar refreshments, with dining arrangements coordinated discreetly.
Her engagement ring, featuring a natural diamond within the agreed 5.5–6.5-carat range and an 18-carat gold setting.
An optional 18-carat white gold band for him.
A private car and chauffeur available 24 hours a day throughout your London stay, under the arrangements confirmed in your booking.
A private Thames cruise, with its duration and arrangements agreed beforehand.
A personalised proposal dining evening, including the agreed meal and drinks.
Admission and tickets for agreed activities, such as museums, historic buildings and the opera, subject to availability.
A professional portrait of you together, taken at a time of your choosing.
Agreed assistance with applicable UK entry applications and their fees.
Ticket categories, special requests and any premium experiences are included only where confirmed in your booking. We seek suitable premium seating where available, but do not guarantee a particular category unless confirmed.
Special bottles and exceptional dining or other requests require agreement in advance. We confirm whether a request is included or carries an additional charge and obtain your agreement before incurring that charge. Shopping and personal purchases, helicopter activities and services not expressly included are excluded. Hotel spa access does not include treatments unless agreed.
Personal travel, medical, cancellation and jewellery insurance are not included unless specifically identified in your booking documents.
Diamond Selection and Your Rings
Before your initial payment, we agree her preferred diamond shape, minimum selection criteria and ring preferences. We seek approximately six carats within a 5.5–6.5-carat range. D color and Flawless clarity are aims subject to availability, unless expressly confirmed as binding selection criteria.
Within seven calendar days of your initial payment clearing, our gemologists present their recommended diamond through a video call, supported by photographs, footage and its GIA grading report. One alternative recommendation is included if you decline the first. Any additional time needed to source and present that alternative is agreed with you without an additional sourcing charge.
Before you approve the diamond and pay the balance, we provide the exact amount allocated from your package price to the agreed jewellery, explain its treatment if you cancel and obtain your approval. This allocation is part of the total package price, not an additional charge. Your approval does not authorise us to purchase the diamond before the balance clears.
You are not required to approve a recommended diamond. If we present a diamond meeting the agreed selection requirements but you choose not to proceed, the initial-payment cancellation provisions below apply. Declining a recommendation does not, by itself, authorise us to retain the jewellery allocation.
If we cannot present a diamond meeting the agreed requirements within the agreed timeframe, we offer to continue sourcing for an agreed additional period without extra charge. You do not have to accept more time or different specifications. If no solution is agreed, we cancel the booking and refund your full US$10,000 initial payment without a sourcing, presentation or administration deduction. Any other applicable legal remedies remain unaffected.
Once you approve the diamond, we reserve it for 48 hours for your remaining payment to clear. After the balance clears, we purchase the approved diamond and craft your rings in the designs agreed with you. Within seven calendar days of balance clearance, the rings are completed and we show them to you remotely.
After viewing the completed rings, you may request one included round of design alterations per ring if your preferences change. This may include a different setting or ring style within the agreed gold specification, but excludes changing the approved diamond. We agree the revised design with you before carrying out the work, allowing up to seven additional calendar days from that agreement. Any effect on your travel or presentation dates is agreed with you.
Correcting a defect, a manufacturing error or a failure to match the agreed specifications does not count as your included round of preference-based alterations. Any further preference-based changes are subject to feasibility and charges agreed before the additional work begins.
Please provide accurate ring sizes and check the designs carefully. We do not include complimentary resizing for a size you supplied incorrectly or changes of preference after delivery. This does not affect your rights if jewellery is defective, incorrectly made or does not match what we agreed.
We present the completed rings and her diamond’s GIA grading report in London before the proposal evening, at an agreed time. If cancellation requires delivery elsewhere, we agree secure delivery arrangements and any lawful additional charges beforehand.
Travel Arrangements and Entry Requirements
Within three working days of your remaining balance clearing, we send your reservation confirmations. If an arrangement cannot be confirmed within that period, we contact you promptly to explain the issue and agree the next steps. This does not remove your rights if we cannot provide the agreed arrangements.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England. The first working day is the working day after your balance clears. References to seven days for diamond presentation or ring completion mean calendar days, including weekends and public holidays.
Aircraft, hotels and other providers shown on our website illustrate the services we arrange. Your booking documents identify the confirmed arrangements. We do not guarantee a particular hotel, aircraft model or operator unless expressly agreed.
We do not operate aircraft. Flights are performed by appropriately authorised aircraft operators. Flight times, routing and operations remain subject to safety requirements, weather, airport restrictions and operational decisions. Nonstop travel is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed and remains subject to operational necessity.
You must provide accurate passenger information, hold valid travel documents and meet applicable entry requirements. We can assist with agreed applications and pay the included application fees, but immigration authorities decide whether to grant permission or admit a traveller.
Please tell us promptly about any matter that may affect your ability to travel. Refusal of an entry application or admission does not automatically entitle you to a full refund; the cancellation provisions and applicable legal rights will determine the outcome.
Supplier liability insurance does not automatically provide you with personal travel, medical or cancellation cover. Any insurance expressly included in your booking is subject to its policy terms, limits and exclusions.
Changes to Your Booking
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change your dates, passenger details, activities or other arrangements. Changes depend on availability, production progress and supplier conditions.
We explain any additional costs before you decide whether to proceed. The included round of design alterations per ring is governed by “Diamond Selection and Your Rings” above and carries no additional design-alteration charge. We do not charge a separate administration fee merely for requesting a change.
If we need to make a significant change, such as replacing your agreed hotel or materially changing your travel arrangements, we explain the proposed alternative and your available options. Where your agreement is required, we obtain it before proceeding.
We do not impose a materially different experience without giving you the choices required by applicable law, including cancellation and a refund where required.
If You Cancel
You may request cancellation by emailing clients@grandproposals.com. Cancellation takes effect when we receive your notice; we will acknowledge it promptly.
We do not offer an additional voluntary cooling-off period. Any cancellation or withdrawal rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.
Before the remaining balance clears
If you cancel after paying the initial US$10,000, whether before the diamond presentation or after deciding not to proceed with the agreed sourcing and presentation process, our agreed cancellation charge is US$2,000, leaving US$8,000 to be refunded, subject to any greater refund required by applicable law.
The charge relates to diamond sourcing, reservation and presentation arrangements. It is not a charge for purchasing the diamond. We retain it only to the extent lawfully justified by the work undertaken, commitments made and losses arising from cancellation, taking account of costs avoided and recoveries. If a lower deduction is required, we refund the difference. We do not deduct additional supplier or administration charges at this initial-payment stage.
If we cannot present a diamond meeting the agreed requirements and no extension or other solution is agreed, we refund the full initial payment as described in “Diamond Selection and Your Rings.”
After the remaining balance clears
For a cancellation arising from your change of plans, we refund the amount paid after deducting only amounts that we are lawfully entitled to retain under the arrangements agreed with you:
Approved jewellery commitments: the privately agreed amount for jewellery we have purchased or irreversibly committed to following your approval, provided that we supply the agreed jewellery to you.
Supplier cancellation charges: actual, unavoidable and unrecoverable charges for your confirmed arrangements, where the relevant cancellation conditions were disclosed before commitment.
Agreed administration costs: reasonable, documented costs directly attributable to work on your booking or its cancellation, but only where their scope, calculation method and maximum amount were expressly agreed before your initial payment and the deduction is permitted by law. If no such arrangement was agreed, no separate administration charge applies.
The US$2,000 initial-stage cancellation charge does not apply separately after the remaining balance clears. We do not count the same work, commitment or loss twice.
Administration costs are not calculated as an automatic percentage of the package price. We do not use them to recover an undisclosed profit margin or impose a penalty.
We take reasonable steps to reduce cancellation losses and account for supplier refunds, recoveries and costs avoided. We provide an explanation of the deductions and supporting information reasonably necessary to substantiate them.
If no jewellery purchase or irreversible commitment has been made, we do not retain the full jewellery allocation merely because a diamond was recommended or approved.
Charges may be higher closer to departure because supplier arrangements may become non-refundable. If you cancel after the experience begins, the refund calculation also accounts for services already supplied, without double counting. Choosing not to use a service that remains available as agreed does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
These change-of-plans provisions do not override rights arising from our failure to perform, defective goods or other circumstances in which the law requires different remedies.
If We Cannot Deliver and How Refunds Work
If we cancel the complete experience before it begins, we refund payments for the cancelled experience. If you expressly choose to retain an independently fulfilable jewellery purchase, we confirm that arrangement and its agreed price separately.
If an individual service cannot be provided, we seek a suitable solution and provide any alternative, price reduction, refund or other remedy required by the circumstances and applicable law.
Events outside our reasonable control may affect travel or activities. We inform you promptly and explain your options. Such events do not automatically remove your refund rights or our duties to assist you.
We do not deduct administration costs or pass on supplier losses where doing so would reduce a refund you are legally entitled to receive.
Refunds are issued without undue delay and within any applicable legal deadline. We normally return funds to the original payer and originating account, subject to necessary verification and legal requirements.
Bank processing and currency conversion can affect when funds become available. We do not use those processes to extend a statutory refund deadline, and we do not make refunds legally owed to you conditional on first recovering money from a supplier.
If further supplier recoveries reduce an amount previously deducted from your refund, we return the corresponding amount to you.
Our Responsibilities and Complaints
We are responsible for fulfilling our agreement with you and exercising reasonable care and skill in arranging and delivering the experience. Using independent suppliers does not exclude responsibilities that applicable law places on us.
Please contact us promptly if anything is wrong so we have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. During your stay, use the contact arrangements supplied with your booking. Written complaints can be sent to clients@grandproposals.com.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other non-excludable liability.
Your approval of a diamond or ring design does not waive your rights regarding authenticity, defects or conformity with the agreed specifications.
Privacy and Photographs
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Photography included in your experience is provided for you. We request separate permission before using identifiable photographs, testimonials or your personal story for publicity. Declining that permission does not affect your experience.
Applicable Law and These Terms
The law governing your booking and the courts with jurisdiction are determined by applicable legal rules. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections or restrict access to courts where you have a legal right to bring a claim.
Your personalised booking documents record the specific services and arrangements agreed with you. Any variation to these terms must be expressly agreed and cannot reduce rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The version accepted for your booking continues to apply to that booking. Later website changes do not alter an existing agreement without your agreement.
